Stiver Honored For 100 Wins

Germantown, OH (October 22, 2004) Prior to the Valley View - Bellbrook football game Friday night, Spartan fans stopped for a moment to recognize the Lady Spartans soccer coach, Jeff Stiver. Coach Stiver reached the 100 win milestone during the 2004 season.

Stiver began his coaching career in 1994 and since then has gone on to a 107-76-13 lifetime record. It was the teams of the past six years that recorded a 73-29-6 history that has seen the most success in Stiver's 11 season career.

Since taking over the helm of the Lady Spartan soccer program, Coach Stiver has been recognized several times by his peers for the job he has done. He had previsouly been named the Southwestern Buckeye League Coachh of the Year and 2004 marks the second time he has received this distinction. He had also been recognized as the Southwestern District Coach of the Year once and again, in 2004, repeated that same accomplishment.

His 2000 team won the only league title in school history. This team had an 8-0 league record and were 14-2-1 overall.

In 2002 the Lady Spartans reached the district title game for the only time in school history. This same team was name the Southwestern District Sportsmanship Award winners.

His teams have been recognized by the state association for academic excellence every year since 1999.
