Mohawks Too Much For Spartan Defense
Middletown, OH (January 8, 2005)— Valley View (4-7) couldn't get overcome a 5-point half-time deficit, falling to the Madison Mohawks ( 5-5), 45-54 in inter-division action.
The game was actually closer than the score portrays, when with 3:35 remaining, the Spartans resorted to fouling the Mohawks in an effort to gain control of the ball. The Mohawks reciprocated by sinking all of their free-throws enroute to the 11-point margin.
The Spartans next chance comes against the Oakwood Lumberjacks, next Friday, January, 14.
