Bad Weather Plan
Winter weather may make it necessary for school officials to call for an hour delay, an early dismissal, or a school closing. The Ohio Department of Education has established guidelines regarding weather dismissals which allow five excused days (27.5 hours) per year. Our minimum school day without lunch is 5 hours for elementary and five and on-half hours for secondary.
In order to provide maximum safety for students and staff, and to comply with state requirements, our bad weather plan is as follows.
Should an early dismissal be necessary, it will occur at least one hour prior to normal dismissal.
| If a one-hour delay is necessary, all buildings will start one hour later than normal scheduling and dismiss at the regular time. | ||
| MIDDLE SCHOOL | 8:37 - 2:15 | |
| HIGH SCHOOL | 8:45 - 2:30 | |
| ELEMENTARY (1-5) | 10:00 - 3:15 | |
| A.M. KINDERGARTEN | 10:00 - 11:35 | |
| P.M. KINDERGARTEN | 12:40 - 3:15 | |
| If a two-hour delay is necessary, all buildings will start two hours later than normal scheduling and dismiss at the regular time. | ||
| MIDDLE SCHOOL | 9:37 - 2:15 | |
| HIGH SCHOOL | 9:45 - 2:30 | |
| ELEMENTARY (1-5) | 11:00 - 3:15 | |
