Thanks for taking the time to visit. Valley View is made up of four local entities. Farmersville, Germantown, Jackson Township, and German Township.

The Farmersville Fire Association and the Germantown Fire Department are both members of the Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance. Visit their Web site and see the benefits that membership in the organization has on both of these fine departments.

Each community adds to the quiet and rural setting that has been part of the area for over 190 years. Visit each one and you'll see why Valley View means community.

Become involved in your Community!
Attend a Village Council or Township Trustee's meeting. There are many committees and boards looking for volunteers. Call your Village or Township office for more details.

Farmersville Adopts Sister Village
As the first order of business for the new year, the Farmersville Village Council passed Resolution 2002-01 designating Kaimri, India as a Sister Village to the Village by a 5-1 vote. The dissenting vote came from Councilman Friend, who "heard" they were persecuting Christians, despite any evidence to support such a claim.

The event has been captured as part of a documentary funded and sponsored by Gram Chopal Shakti (GCS), a local organization founded to help fight poverty in India. The 5-minute documentary features interviews with the fire chief, council members, and a visit to Farmersville's Elementary, where Carrie Houston's fourth grade class asks questions of fourth graders in India.

The documentary, produced by Eric Johnson of Educational Video Publishing, is just the first half of the story that will culminate with footage from Kaimri, interviews with local, state and federal politicians, and commentary from local leaders. The documentary will help aid the GCS in their fund-raising efforts.
